À l’instar des initiatives de promotion de la cohésion nationale et de l’unité entre les populations congolaises dans le contexte politique actuel fortement marqué par la prolifération des discours de haine, de tribalisme et d’opposition entre les communautés, le HCR et le BCNUDH lancent le projet de renforcement de la cohésion nationale dans l’espace Kasaï. En effet, plusieurs voix s’élèvent pour dénoncer le recours, par certains acteurs sociopolitiques du pays, au relent communautaire pour couvrir et s’assurer d’un positionnement politique.
Sous un autre angle, la persistance des cas de violations des droits de l’homme et d’exactions des groupes armés actifs au pays préoccupe plusieurs communautés nationales et certains acteurs religieux. En témoignent notamment la mise en garde lancée par la coordination des communautés du Katanga sur l’affaire Kalev Mutond, l’alerte de la communauté des étudiants banyamulenge sur les conditions des femmes de Fizi, Uvira et Mwenga, ou encore le mémorandum des chefs religieux de la RDC adressé aux autorités du pays. Ce dernier insiste sur l’amélioration des conditions sociales de la population, la préservation de la paix et les valeurs éthiques qui doivent caractériser les prochains membres du gouvernement.
Among the initiatives to promote national cohesion and unity between the Congolese populations in the current political context which is marked by the proliferation of hate speech, tribalism and opposition between the communities, the UNHCR and the UNJHRO launch the project to strengthen national cohesion in the Kasai area. Indeed, several voices are raised to denounce the use, by certain socio-political actors of the country of the community tribalism to cover and ensure a political position.
From another side, the persistence of cases of human rights violations and exactions done by active armed groups in the country concern several national communities and certain religious actors. This is particularly the case of the warning issued by the coordination of the communities of Katanga on the Kalev Mutond affair, of the alert of the community of Banyamulenge students on the conditions of the women of Fizi, Uvira and Mwenga, or even the memorandum of the religious leaders of the DRC addressed to the attention of the authorities of the country to insist on the improvement of the social conditions of the population, the preservation of peace and the ethical values which must characterize the next members of the government .

L'ONU lance le projet de renforcement de la cohésion nationale dans la région du grand Kasaï
Le fonds pour la consolidation de la paix des Nations Unies finance le projet « Renforcer la justice et la réinsertion socioéconomique pour et par les jeunes femmes, hommes pour la cohésion entre les personnes déplacées et les membres de la communauté hôte » dans la région du Kasaï, particulièrement dans les provinces du Kasaï et Kasaï central.
Le lancement de l’atelier de planification de ce projet a eu lieu le 8 mars dans la ville de Tshikapa, au Kasaï.
À en croire les organisateurs de cet atelier, ce projet qui s’étend sur une durée de 18 mois sera mis en œuvre et exécuté par le HCR, le BCNUDH et WVI (World Vision international).

The UN launches a project of national cohesion strengthening in the greater Kasai region
The United Nations Peacebuilding Fund finances the project "Strengthening justice and socioeconomic reintegration for and by young women and men for cohesion between displaced persons and members of the host community" in the Kasai region. , particularly in the provinces of Kasai and Kasai central.

La coordination des communautés de l’Espace katangais hausse le ton contre les « détracteurs » de Kalev Mutond
Réagissant aux multiples convocations judiciaires dont l’ancien chef de l’Agence Nationale de Renseignement (ANR) Kalev Mutond fait l’objet, la coordination des communautés de l’Espace Katangais met en garde ceux qu’elle considère comme détracteurs de Kalev et qui portent atteinte à l'honneur de leur fils.
Ce regroupement sociologique s’est exprimé à travers un communiqué de presse relayé par le groupe de presse Médiacongo dans lequel il affirme que Kalev n’a nullement agi intuitu personae d’où son appel à la cessation des accusations non fondées et qui sont de nature à porter gravement atteinte à la cohésion sociale et à l’unité nationale.
Pour rappel, d’après un mandat de comparution délivré par le parquet général de la cour d’appel Kinshasa/Matete, Kalev Mutond était invité pour la deuxième fois à comparaître le mardi 9 mars dernier pour être entendu sur des infractions lui étant imputées.

In this press release the Cooordination of the Katangese Space affirms that Kalev in no way acted intuitu personae, hence its call for the cessation of any unfounded accusation against Kalev, which are likely to seriously undermine social cohesion and national unity.
As a reminder, according to an appearance warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Kinshasa / Matete Court of Appeal, Kalev Mutond was invited for the second time to appear on Tuesday, March 09 to be heard on the alleged offenses against him.

La mutualité des étudiants banyamulenge alerte sur la condition des femmes de Fizi, Uvira et Mwenga
Réunis au sein d’une mutualité, les étudiants banyamulenge ont tiré la sonnette d’alarme, à l’occasion de la célébration de la Journée internationale des droits des femmes, sur la situation plus que préoccupante des femmes des hauts plateaux de Minembwe qui connaissent des cas de viols et subissent des exactions de la part des groupes armés actifs opérant dans cette zone.
Pour ce faire, ils en appellent à l’intervention des autorités congolaises et d’autres partenaires pour mettre fin à ces exactions.

The Banyamulenge student alerts on the condition of women in Fizi, Uvira and Mwenga

Mgr Daniel Nlandu, évêque du diocèse de Matadi démissionne de ses fonctions
La démission de Mgr Daniel Nlandu Mayi de ses fonctions du gouvernement pastoral du diocèse de Matadi a été actée et acceptée par le Pape François.
Cette information qui a été relayée par le secrétariat de la Conférence Épiscopale Nationale du Congo (CENCO) n’a pas révélé les raisons de cette démission. Il a été remplacé par Mgr André Giraud Pindi, qui était vicaire général.
Pour rappel, Mgr Daniel Nlandu avait été nommé évêque du diocèse de Matadi le 21 septembre 2010 en remplacement de Mgr Gabriel Kembo Mamputu.

105 personnes tuées, 34 cas d’enlèvement des civils : bilan sombre dressé par l’ONG locale FPB pour la région de Beni
L'étude de la protection des civils établie par l’ONG Forum de Paix de Beni (FPB) dresse un tableau sombre de la situation sécuritaire dans la région de Beni où plusieurs cas d’exactions commises par les rebelles ADF ont été recensées.
En effet, l’étude de surveillance publiée le 5 mars par cette ONG a été réalisée dans la période allant du 1er au 28 février dernier. Dans les statistiques documentées, on relève 105 cas de personnes tuées, 34 enlèvements, 12 cas d’incendies, trois cas de violences sexuelles et trois autres de justice populaire.
Pour mettre fin à la spirale de ces violences dans cette zone du pays, le FPB demande aux autorités militaires de relever les unités engagées du front et qui ont longtemps été affectées à cet endroit sans résultats.

The monitoring of the protection of civilians established by the NGO Forum de Paix de Beni (FPB) paints a grim picture of the security situation in the Beni region where several cases of abuses committed by the ADF rebels have been recorded.
Indeed, the monitoring study published on March 05 by this NGO was carried out in the period from February 01 to 28. In the documented statistics, there are 105 cases of people killed, 34 kidnappings, 12 cases of burning of houses and businesses, 3 cases of sexual violence and 3 others of popular justice.
To put an end to the spiral of violence in this part of the country, the FPB asks the military authorities to relieve the units engaged from the front and which have long been assigned there without results.

Tshisekedi calme le jeu et nomme un nouveau directeur à la tête de sa cellule de communication après une sortie osée de celle-ci contre la CENCO
Le vendredi 5 mars dernier, deux nouvelles ordonnances signées par le président de la République ont été lues à la chaîne nationale. Il s’agit des ordonnances de fusion des services de la presse présidentielle et de la communication, ainsi que la nomination d’Erick Nyindu, nouveau directeur de la cellule de communication de la présidence.
Il est à noter que la publication de ces ordonnances intervient quelques jours après la réaction du service de communication du chef de l’État congolais à la déclaration des évêques catholiques membres de la Conférence Épiscopale Nationale du Congo (CENCO) sur l’obligation d’organiser les élections en 2023 et pas plus tard.
Plusieurs acteurs sociopolitiques avaient levé la voix pour critiquer la sortie médiatique du service de la communication de la présidence. Le porte-parole du président Tshisekedi avait même affirmé sur les ondes de Top Congo FM que la mise au point de ce service contre la déclaration de la CENCO n’engageait pas la présidence de la République.

L'artiste musicien Idengo acquitté par le tribunal de paix de Beni.
Après deux audiences publiques, le procès du musicien engagé et militant Kaeambo Vinywa Delphin alias Idengo s’est clôturé ce mercredi 10 mars. Le Tripaix de Beni l’a acquitté. Il a passé un mois en détention provisoire. Il était poursuivi par la justice pour outrage au chef de l’État congolais après avoir sorti sa chanson « politiciens escrocs ».
Cet acquittement est salué par le BCNUDH qui rappelle que les libertés d’opinion et d’expression doivent être garanties dans une société qui se veut démocratique.

Musician artist Idengo acquitted by the Beni peace court.
After two public hearings, the trial of committed musician and activist Kaeambo Vinywa Delphin alias Idengo ended on Wednesday March 10.
